A message from the Principal...

WELCOME TO THE 2008-09 SCHOOL YEAR

It seems impossible that summer is just about over and another school year is beginning.  This is a landmark year for St. John School as we celebrate our 50th year of educational excellence.  We have an anniversary committee of volunteers working on various activities that will take place this year and will include present and former students, teachers, and parents.  Please try to attend and help us celebrate our 50th anniversary!

To get ready for the first day of school, there will be an orientation from 9:00 to 11:00 on Friday, August 15 where parents and students can go to classes, talk to teachers, and tour the campus.  We will also have a PTO sponsored dinner and open house on Thursday, August 21.  The dinner will be from 5:30 to 6:30 followed by introduction of teachers and then (3) fifteen minute sessions in classrooms where faculty will discuss policies and procedures.

School begins on Monday, August 18.  We will have before care in the cafeteria beginning at 7:15 until 7:45 when the bell rings for students to go to class.  Children need to be in classes by 7:55 when we will assemble at the flagpole for morning prayers.

I am excited and honored to be here at St. John School and look forward to a wonderful 50th anniversary year.

God bless each of you!

Dr. Kathy Kidd
