School Dismissal / Pick-Up Procedures
Dismissal Time – 2:40pm
Pick-up Point A – Flower Avenue - K4 and K5:
If you are only picking up a student in K4 or K5 you can proceed down 9th street to Flower Avenue and proceed north through the intersection at 10th and Flower to the pick-up location (A). NO PARKING on the school side of Flower Avenue between the corner and the pick-up area. This is kept clear for the car line.
Pick-up Point B – 10th Street Grades 1-8:
You can enter the line by one of three ways. By turning south on Flower Avenue and proceeding left into the entrance to the expressway OR by proceeding west on 10th Street, turning left (past kindergarten pick-up area) on Flower to the expressway entrance OR by proceeding via 11th Street to Friendship Avenue, turning south and then west onto 10th Street.
When entering into either pick-up point, A or B, please remember:
- Pull forward as far as possible
- Be courteous to student patrols and other drivers
- Have children load quickly
We ask that everyone follow this procedure. It is the most efficient method for dismissal and more importantly, it is safe for the children.
